The Decarbonisation Accelerated project is partnering with QME in 2024 to deliver a robust one-day program that brings to the forefront the growing focus on decarbonisation in mining and its supply chains. The program will feature an impressive list industry expertise who will facilitate meaningful discussions around decarbonisation opportunities and challenges. 

Decarbonisation Accelerated is a partnership between Resources Centre of Excellence, Greater Whitsunday Alliance, and Local Buying Foundation, and is a two-year action-focused project aimed at encouraging businesses to start their decarbonisation journey and seize the new opportunities that will arise as a result of this industry transformation.

The mining industry and its supply chain need to have conversations about a pathway forward and navigating the complexities of this once-in-a-lifetime industry shift. That’s why we see the QME Decarbonisation Program as a significant component of the QME 2024 program and we look forward to helping facilitate these important discussions in our region,” RCOE CEO Steven Boxall said.
