Jyi Lawton
Jyi Lawton is a Bidjara man from Central Queensland and the CEO of AEMEE Aboriginal Enterprises in Mining, Energy and Exploration, the national peak body supporting Indigenous businesses in the resources and energy sectors. He has undertaken tertiary study across Architectural Design, Law, Justice and Business. With executive level experience across multiple industries including resources sector, media, tertiary education and State and Federal Government, he brings a practical understanding of policy, regulation and commercial delivery at both strategic and operational levels. Jyi provides advisory input across the resources sector including the Mineral Resources Advisory Council, CSIRO, the Strategic Transformation Advisory Group, CRCTiME and others. His work centres on Indigenous economic empowerment, governance, strategy and leadership. He has served on multiple boards and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
