Jodie Currie
Jodie Currie is a pioneering force in the mining and resources sector, renowned for her leadership in amplifying regional voices and creating strategic connections. In 2010, she founded the Bowen Basin Mining Club (BBMC) to foster collaboration among mining suppliers and producers. Under her guidance, BBMC has flourished over the past 16 years: launching the BBMC Crib Room Podcast, and establishing the Queensland Mining Awards and BBMC Yearbook, all aimed at strengthening industry connections and celebrating excellence. In 2025, Jodie expanded into NSW launching the Hunter Mining Club. Jodie is also the co-founder of Strategic Mining Communications, a consultancy dedicated to shaping the sector’s narrative, advocating for engagement, inclusion, and resilience across Australia’s resources landscape.
