Jillian D’Urso
Jillian is an engagement, policy and corporate affairs professional, with almost 20 decades of experience working with diverse stakeholders to develop solutions to some of the most challenging sustainability aspects and opportunities in mining. She has a deep understanding of industry, having worked at sites in Australia and overseas, in corporate roles and, before joining CRC TiME, as Principal Adviser – Social Policy, at the Minerals Council of Australia. Now based in Mackay, Jillian’s current role involves leading the Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies (CRC TiME) work to connect its research and projects with government, industry and community partners to enable long-term impact. A key focus is working to enable realisation of post-mine land, asset and waste reuse as part of regional economic, social and environmental planning.
