Digital Products and Platforms Manager, CS Energy
Having worked in Victorian Government and private sector energy policy, programs, and electrification projects, Lahiru now works at the Queensland-government’s owned CS Energy, leading the Future Energy division’s Retail product and platforms.
His role focuses on accelerating the renewable energy transition through smart technology and software to enable VPPs, behavioural demand response and load shifting.
With a mechanical engineering and building services background, Lahiru brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and visionary thinking to all aspects of renewable energy, energy efficiency, building services engineering, project management and government energy policy.
Given the remoteness of mine operations, fossil fuels like diesel, heavy oils, and coal were traditionally the primary energy sources. Energy recovery, renewable energy, and carbon capture present opportunities to supplement or replace fossil fuel. But a comprehensive integration of renewable-energy technologies is essential.
